What we collect
- Account info: email, username, display name, optional bio and avatar.
- Collection data: the cards you add, including images, notes, prices, and dates.
- Usage data: basic logs (IP, browser, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.
- Payment data: handled by our payments processor; we never store full card numbers.
What's private by default
Every card you add is private and visible only to you. You can choose to make individual cards public. Even when a card is public, these fields are never shown:
- Purchase price, sale price, fees, shipping cost, marketplace
- Personal notes, storage location, status (collection / sold / etc.)
- Your email address and account ID
How we use your data
- To run the app and your account
- To moderate content (AI + human review on submitted text and images)
- To prevent abuse, fraud, and scraping (rate limiting)
- To send transactional emails (auth, receipts)
Sharing
We don't sell your data. We share data only with service providers required to run the app (hosting, database, payments, AI moderation) under appropriate agreements.
Your rights
You can export, edit, or delete your data at any time from your account settings. You can also email us to request access, correction, or deletion.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Card images are stored in private buckets with access scoped to you (or, for public cards, exposed via short-lived signed URLs only). We follow industry-standard security practices but no system is 100% secure.
Cookies
We use first-party cookies and local storage for sign-in sessions and preferences.
Children
Save My Cards is not directed to children under 13.
